SERBS SUMMONED BY PRIŠTINA TERRORISM PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - Serb List Vice President Igor Simić said that he and several of his colleagues had received summonses from the Terrorism Department of the Special Prosecutor's Office in Priština over alleged criminal offenses that had been groundlessly attributed to them.

Simić described the move as an attempt to intimidate the Serb population and prevent them from speaking were violations of their rights in Kosovo and Metohija.

He explained that the summonses accuse him and his colleagues of alleged association for unconstitutional activities aimed at attacking the "constitutional order," endangering internationally protected persons, assaulting an official and participating in a crowd committing a criminal offense and hooliganism.

"As on several previous occasions, I will once again respond to the summons from the Special Prosecutor's Office because we have nothing to hide," Simić said in a video posted on Instagram.

Simić said new summonses arrive whenever voices are raised about the suffering of the Serb population and alleged violations of the rights of Serbs living in Kosovo and Metohija.

He stressed that, as political representatives of the Serb people, they had an obligation to stand with and alongside their people.
