BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 19 /SRNA/ - The European Union should sanction Croatia by withholding all types of aid funds due to the glorification of Ustasha ideology and discrimination against Serbs, Nikola Puzigaća, the head of the Association of Workers and Disabled Workers Fled Croatia Holding BiH Citizenship, cited in SRNA interview.
Reacting to the incident involving hate messages directed at Serbs in the village of Glušci near Metković, Croatia, Puzigaća stated that the EU should withhold all aid funds to Croatia until Croatian authorities legally sanction individuals who openly glorify the Ustasha ideology.
He emphasized that Croatia has been avoiding for years the resolution of the status rights of Serbs, which involve the return of property, including 50,000 apartments, as well as issues related to employment, pensions, labour and social rights, and participation in the privatization of state-owned companies.
In the village of Glušci near Metković, which is exclusively inhabited by Serbs, hate messages reading "kill Serb" and "ZDS", the abbreviation for the Ustasha-fascist salute "Za dom spremni" /For the Homeland – Ready!/ were sprayed on the asphalt during the night from Wednesday to Thursday, September 17 to 18.
The same abbreviation was also written on a road sign to Glušci, while unknown individuals in a car shouted "kill Serb".
