PRIŠTINA-BASED INSTITUTIONS TAKE OVER RAILWAYS OF SERBIA BUILDINGS IN ZVEČAN AND LEPOSAVIĆ, CYRILLIC SIGNS REMOVED

BELGRADE, MAY 28 /SRNA/ – The Priština-based interim institutions today took over the Railways of Serbia building in Zvečan, removing the Cyrillic sign afterwards and displaying the flag of the self-declared Kosovo.

The takeover of the Railways of Serbia building also took place in Leposavić.

The building in Zvečan was taken over by officials from the Ministry of Economy of the Priština-based interim institutions, with the assistance of members of the so-called Kosovo police.

After the Cyrillic sign was removed, a Latin-script sign reading “Kosovo Railway Infrastructure” in Serbian and Albanian was installed, media outlets report.

Present during the operation in Zvečan were Artane Rizvanolli, Minister of Economy of the Priština institutions, and Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla.

A campaign for the early elections to be held on June 7 began today in Kosovo and Metohija.
