PEĆ, JULY 5 /SRNA/ – His Holiness Patriarch Porfirije of Serbia and U.S. President Donald Trump's spiritual adviser, Pastor Mark Burns, arrived in Kosovo and Metohija this afternoon, where they are to visit the Patriarchate of Peć, the historic seat of the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/.
Tomorrow, His Holiness and Pastor Burns will visit the Visoki Dečani Monastery and other Serbian Orthodox holy sites in Kosovo and Metohija, the SOC announced.
Pastor Burns attended yesterday's memorial service in Bratunac for the 3,267 Serbs from the Central Podrinje and Birač region who were killed between 1992 and 1995.
The memorial service for the Serbs killed by members of Muslim forces was officiated by Patriarch Porfirije.
Burns said he was paying tribute to the memory of the 3,267 Serbs from the Central Podrinje and Birač region who were killed between 1992 and 1995, stressing that innocent Serb victims must not be ignored, minimized or forgotten.
On Friday, His Holiness received Pastor Burns at the Patriarchal Residence in Belgrade. According to the SOC, the meeting was held in a spirit of mutual understanding and with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two Christian countries and the two Christian peoples.
