OFAC EXTENDS NIS LICENCE

BELGRADE, JULY 31 /SRNA/ - OFAC has extended the operating licence for the Petroleum Industry of Serbia /NIS/ until August 28, Belgrade media reported.

The new licence allows NIS to continue operations, including the processing of crude oil.

Mining and Energy Minister Dubravka Đedović Handanović had previously said that there were indications that NIS would receive a licence from the US administration to continue its operations, and that an official letter from the US administration was expected to formalise the decision.

OFAC had previously extended the operating licence until July 31.
