ARANĐELOVAC, FEBRUARY 15 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić has said today in Orašac that the Serbian people are free and can defend themselves from all hardships only through unity and solidarity.
Speaking at the celebration of Sretenje-Statehood Day of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Minić emphasized that in 1804, the Serbs in Orašac "raised their heads toward freedom, not to harm anyone."
"It was here that a serious decision was made – that the Serbian people want an orderly community, freedom, equality, and an idea that we continue to uphold today," Minić said.
He stressed that Serbs in Serbia and Republika Srpska are one people, sharing the same culture, language, faith, and history, and that no one can ever take that away from them.
"I am particularly proud that in our most difficult moments we made two crucial decisions – that we would stand together and that we wanted freedom. I believe that is the guiding star that will shape future generations," Minić underlined.
"While evil resurfaces in our surroundings, we must remain aware that only together can we nurture our spirit, respect our tradition, faith, and culture, and never forget any of our heroes, but instead look to the future and build it in a way worthy of our people," Minić said.
