BUDAPEST, JULY 31 /SRNA/ - According to the Directorate General for Water Management, the last power unit of Hungary's Paks nuclear power plant could be shut down on August 4 or August 5, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar said.
"As many already know, when the water level reaches 134 centimetres, a threshold is reached at which the last remaining operating unit of the Paks nuclear power plant must be completely shut down," Magyar said at a press conference.
He said that, according to current calculations, this could happen on Tuesday or Wednesday, August 4 or August 5.
