NIŠ, SEPTEMBER 30 /SRNA/ – The Days of Srpska in Serbia event is not only a cultural and social happening, but a symbol of unity and a message that the Drina River has never been a border for a people who share the same history, language, and customs, the Minister for European Integration and International Cooperation of Republika Srpska, Zlatan Klokić, stated this evening in Niš.
The Days of Srpska in Serbia is a bridge that connects us, generation after generation, so that we never forget who we are and where we come from,” Klokić said at the National Theatre in Niš, during the closing ceremony of the event.
Klokić emphasized that this event reminded everyone of how strong and unbreakable the unity between Serbia and Srpska is.
He states that Republika Srpska and Serbia will continue to live as long as the youngest generations inherit Serb heritage.
At the closing evening of the Days of Srpska in Serbia, Serbia’s Minister of Environmental Protection, Sara Pavkov, also highlighted that Serb tradition and cultural heritage have survived throughout history, and that this event is a testament to a unity that transcends space and time.
"It is our duty to nurture the unity of Serbs, which began even before the Nemanjić dynasty, endured through the centuries, and which - if we are wise - will never end," she said.
Pavkov emphasized that Serbs are one people no matter where they live, that they will look toward the future together, and that no border can divide them.
The Days of Srpska in Serbia event, organised for the 13th time by the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Serbia, officially began on September 23 in Belgrade, with programmes held in 13 cities across Serbia.
