BELGRADE, NOVEMBER 17 /SRNA/ - The Bosniak vote isn't large enough to make the difference at the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, unless a minority of Serb voters are willing to vote against their own interests, prominent American analyst James Jatras told SRNA.
He noted that in his opinion, the minority's decision to vote against their own interests would be foolish.
"Let's hope enough Serb voters keep things in their proper perspective and don't fall for manipulation by outside powers hostile to them," said Jatras.
Talking about the recent withdrawal of US sanctions against the president of SNSD Milorad Dodik, Jatras emphasized that it is a highly positive development, both for the Serb people in Republika Srpska and for peace in BiH, but noted that there's no grounds for complacency, because the forces that seek to revise the Dayton Peace Agreement against Serb interests to favor the Muslim community will take every opportunity to further their agenda to weaken Srpska and "reform" Dayton in the direction of centralization.
