INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY URGED TO REMOVE SPECIAL UNITS FROM NORTH

BELGRADE, JANUARY 14 /SRNA/ – Mayor of North Kosovska Mitrovica Milan Radojević today visited nineteen-year-old Vukašin Blažić, who was injured by members of the so-called Kosovo police at a checkpoint near the Bistrica Bridge, stressing that the time has come for Priština’s special units to be removed from the north of the province.

Radojević said he expects the international community to take concrete steps and remove members of the special units of the so-called Kosovo police from the north.

He emphasized that the Serb List will provide all necessary legal and other assistance to the injured Blažić and his family, and that he expects the case to be resolved promptly, Tanjug reported.

Members of the so-called Kosovo police physically abused Serb Vukašin Blažić and two of his friends, one of whom is a minor, because one of them had a sticker bearing the insignia of his sports club with the Serbian coat of arms, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija announced today.

The previous day, in Dečani, which has been ethnically cleansed of Serbs, an Albanian extremist shot Dejan S. and Radovan M. solely because they are Serbs and were speaking the Serbian language.
