HELEZ IS WELL AWARE THAT REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IS ETERNAL

BELGRADE, JANUARY 12 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska is eternal, and the guarantors of its existence are Serbia, Russia, China, and the Minister of Defense in the Council of Ministers Zukan Helez is well aware of this, said President of the Association of Serbs from the Region Miodrag Linta.

He described Helez's statement on "abolishing the entities in BiH" as one in a series of irresponsible and warmongering remarks, claiming that its aim is to deepen divisions and distrust between Serbs and Bosniaks, and assessing it as a call for conflict and a direct attack on the Dayton Peace Agreement.

"Helez knows very well that Republika Srpska is a permanent and eternal category, as it was created by the will of the Serb people and confirmed by an international agreement.

Behind the Dayton Peace Agreement stands Serbia as a signatory and guarantor of the existence of Republika Srpska, as well as major powers including the United States and Russia," Linta said.

Linta stressed that anyone who attempts to challenge the existence of Republika Srpska deeply insults the Serb people, causes serious consequences, and destabilizes BiH, the Union of Serbs from the Region said in a statement.

"Republika Srpska is a guarantee that Serbs will not again experience the genocide they suffered in the Independent State of Croatia, as well as the mass crimes, camps, and ethnic cleansing they endured during the 1990s," Linta said, following Helez's statement that "the time has come to begin a serious discussion on abolishing the entities in BiH".
