GLIŠIĆ: FENEČKI BISERI CHOIR CASE SHOWS MONTENEGRO IS JOINING THE ALLIANCE OF THOSE PERSECUTING SERBS

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - Lawyer and founder of the People's Network Vladan Glišić said that the criminal proceedings that the Montenegrin Prosecutor's Office in Bar intends to initiate against the Serbian choir Fenečki Biseri over songs performed by the ensemble at a concert in the city show that Montenegro is founded on anti-Serb sentiment and is joining an alliance of those persecuting Serbs.

Commenting on the announcement that a case would be opened against people who sing, Glišić said this showed that Montenegro had not fundamentally changed with the fall of Milo Đukanović's regime.

"It turned out that regime changes mean nothing if the system does not change, and the system in Montenegro is NATO occupation, which cannot accept any Serbian identity as normal," Glišić told SRNA.

He stressed that even when Serbian choirs sing about love, patriotism and things that are desirable and permissible in every nation, those whose foundations are rooted in anti-Serb sentiment perceive this as a provocation.

"However, we must be aware that evil is banal, that it has no creativity and is incapable of coming up with anything new, so it applies old methods. In Montenegro, it is applying the old method that Croatia used and still uses - arresting people over absurdities in order to ethnically cleanse its territory of Serbs," Glišić said.

He pointed out that Albin Kurti is doing the same in Kosovo and Metohija, as did his predecessors in Priština, stressing that it can now be seen that Montenegro is also joining this alliance of those persecuting Serbs and continuing the traditions of Milo Đukanović and the Democratic Party of Socialists /DPS/.

"We must be aware of our identity and dignity, but at the same time know that countries, mini-states and state-like entities such as Croatia, Montenegro or Kurti's Kosovo have been created in such a way that there is no place for Serbs in them," Glišić said.

The Basic State Prosecutor's Office in Bar has opened a case concerning the performance by the Fenečki Biseri choir in the city, namely over what it described as the performance of songs containing national and wartime symbolism, in order to determine whether the actions contain elements of a criminal offence subject to prosecution ex officio.

The prosecutor's office is examining the song "Generale, nek je tvojoj majci hvala" /General, May Your Mother Be Praised/ , dedicated to commander Veljko Radenović, a verse linking Montenegro with the freedom of the Serb people, and the mention of Njegoš as the wisest Serbian mind.
