BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – The plane carrying the coffin with the remains of General Ratko Mladić is expected to arrive in Belgrade from The Hague later this afternoon, SRNA finds out.
The plane is expected to land at around 6 p.m., after which the coffin containing the general's remains will be transported to the Military Medical Academy /VMA/ in Belgrade, at the request of his family.
According to SRNA's information, a memorial service is expected to be held in Belgrade on Saturday, September 5, at noon.
Belgrade media reported that accompanying the coffin are the general's son Darko, his granddaughter Anastasija, as well as his former personal security officers Zoran Zrnić and Đorđe Marjanović.
General Mladić's wish was to be buried next to his daughter Ana at Topčider Cemetery in Belgrade.
General Ratko Mladić died on Aug. 27 at a detention hospital in The Hague.
