STRUMICA, APRIL 1 /SRNA/ - The North Macedonia Football Association /NMFA/ has announced disciplinary proceedings against the Shkendija football club from Tetovo, whose fans sang a song dedicated to the terrorist KLA during a moment of silence and paying tribute to those killed in the fire at the discotheque in Kočani.

The North Macedonia Football Association points out that this act represents unacceptable disrespect towards the victims and their families.

"The Association will take appropriate measures in accordance with the rules to ensure that such improper actions never repeat. There is no place for such in football. Let them emulate Shkendija Aracinovo that exercised dignity and respect for the victims and the overall situation in the country," the Association announced.

NMFA reminds that, a few weeks ago, it already emptied the stands with visiting fans in Struga due to improper behavior and emphasized that this will apply to everyone, without exception.

"Football must remain a sport of respect and dignity," said the Football Association of North Macedonia.

On March 16, 59 people were killed and nearly 200 were injured in a fire at a discotheque in Kučani in the east of North Macedonia.
