ĐURIĆ: EU, OSCE AND KFOR SHOULD RESPOND TO LAWLESSNESS AGAINST SERBS

BELGRADE, JULY 30 /SRNA/ - The demolition of buildings in the municipality of Zubin Potok, illegal works at the Visoki Dečani Monastery, and administrative obstacles that hinder access for pilgrims of the Serbian Orthodox Church constitute deliberate pressure on the religious and property rights of Serbs, Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Đurić said.

"The international presence, the EU, OSCE and KFOR, within their respective mandates, should respond decisively to protect the rule of law," Đurić said.

He pointed out that these are not isolated technical issues, but rather a pattern of deliberate pressure on the property rights of Serbs, freedom of religion, and a site that is on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

"In just the past few days, we have witnessed the demolition of Serbian-owned property at Lake Gazivode despite ongoing court proceedings and EU warnings, illegal works within the protected zone of Visoki Dečani, in violation of Kosovo's legislation and the 2020 agreement, as well as new administrative obstacles hindering access for pilgrims of the Serbian Orthodox Church," Đurić wrote on X.

He stressed that the government of self-proclaimed Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti once again demonstrated disregard for the rule of law and the rights of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
