DALJ, OCTOBER 16 /SRNA/ – The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, visited today the Cathedral of Great Martyr Saint Demetrius in Dalj, where he received an award, for which he said that it represents recognition of Republika Srpska and the difficult struggle it is leading.
"At the core of that struggle, human, political, and state, is the struggle for the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/. We are convinced that only preserving the Church means preserving our identity," Dodik emphasized in his address to the monastery brotherhood.
He pointed out that the brotherhood recognized the efforts and activities of the leadership of Republika Srpska.
According to him, different concepts of how human society should be organized and how it should live are clashing globally.
"One of the concepts that has befallen us here is the neoliberal one, which aims to destroy every form of identity," Dodik stressed.
Upon arrival, Dodik was greeted by His Grace Bishop Heruvim of Osijek-Polje and Baranja.
During his visit, Dodik visited the Patriarchal Palace in Dalj and the residence of the Bishop of Osijek-Polje and Baranja, as well as the birthplace of one of the most renowned Serbian scientists, Milutin Milanković.
