CVIJANOVIĆ: SERBIA AND SRPSKA DEMONSTRATE THEIR STRENGTH THROUGH UNITY

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 15 /SRNA/ - Serbia and Republika Srpska demonstrate their strength by marking Serb Unity, Freedom and National Flag Day, sending a message to all Serbs, wherever they live, that they should be part of this celebration of unity, Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said.

After attending a ceremony in Belgrade to present decorations to deserving individuals and institutions, Cvijanović highlighted the importance of togetherness and the ideals of unity, the national flag, and freedom.

She noted that all Serbs should share a common understanding of what they have learned from the past, what they will do together in the future, and how to preserve what she described as both the values and the very biological substance of the Serb people.

"What can one say about a holiday whose very name contains such magnificent words as freedom, unity and the flag?" Cvijanović told reporters.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić presented decorations to deserving individuals and institutions at a ceremony in Belgrade marking Serb Unity, Freedom and National Flag Day.

The ceremony at the Palace of Serbia was also attended by President Milorad Dodik, His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Porfirije, Serbian caretaker Prime Minister Đuro Macut and Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić, as well as the Speakers of the Parliaments of Serbia and Republika Srpska, Ana Brnabić and Nenad Stevandić, respectively. Representatives of Serbs from the region were also present.
