BIJELJINA, DECEMBER 13 /SRNA/ – On December 14, 1941, Croatia declared war on the members of the anti-Hitler coalition, the United States and Great Britain.
The Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ was a wartime ally of Nazi Germany and took part in mass persecution and genocide against Serbs, Jews, and Roma.
The leader of the Croatian state, Ustasha Leader Ante Pavelić, remained loyal to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler until the last day of the war.
Pavelić was a symbol of the destruction of entire peoples in the NDH, which not only had camps for Serbs, Jews, Roma, and all others who opposed such a state, but also established camps for children, mostly Serb children.
The NDH was the only fascist entity that had children’s camps, in which thousands of children perished.
In other concentration camps, people were often killed with knives and mallets.
