BREAK-IN AT ANOTHER SERBIAN HOUSE IN KOSOVO POLJE

KOSOVO POLJE, MAY 10 /SRNA/ - In the village of Ugljare in Kosovo Polje, the home of Serbian resident Ratomir Trajković was broken into and robbed, with valuable items stolen and household belongings ransacked, according to the Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

Trajković, who works in livestock farming and earns his income through hard work, returned from a wedding last night to find his home in disarray, with belongings scattered and damaged.

The Office stated that this is yet another example of the difficult conditions in which the Serbian people live in Kosovo.

This is the second Serbian home to be broken into and robbed in Kosovo Polje within just a few days, following an earlier burglary targeting the house of Jordan and Slobodanka Ristić in the town itself.

Both incidents were reported to the so-called Kosovo police, but the perpetrators have not been found, as in many other cases involving Serbs and their property, the Office for Kosovo and Metohija added.

It was emphasized that the Serbian population in the southern Serbian province is frequently the target of security incidents, and that attacks against them are often neither solved nor adequately addressed.
