BOTSAN-KHARCHENKO AND VUJIĆ DISCUSS MLADIĆ CASE

BELGRADE, APRIL 28 /SRNA/ – Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko met today with Serbian Justice Minister Nenad Vujić, expressing concern over the health condition of General Ratko Mladić and stressing the need for a fair consideration of Serbia's request.

The meeting also addressed Russian-Serbian cooperation in countering abuses in the field of international justice.

"Concern was expressed over General Mladić’s health condition, and the need was emphasized for a fair review by the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals of Serbia's request for his early release on humanitarian grounds", the Russian Embassy said in a statement.

It added that the Russian side reaffirmed strong support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.
