ANDRIĆ: GENERAL RATKO MLADIĆ TO BE BURIED WITH FULL MILITARY HONORS

BELGRADE, September 6 /SRNA/ — General Svetozar Andrić, a member of the team organizing General Ratko Mladić’s funeral, has said in a statement to SRNA today that preparations are in its final phase and that the former commander of the Republika Srpska Army will be buried with full military honors.

He said General Mladić's remains would lie in state at St Luke's Church in Vidikovac from 7:00 to noon, where people would be able to pay their respects as they passed by, followed by a funeral service at noon.

A procession will then head to Topčider Cemetery, where General Mladić will be buried, at his own request, beside his daughter Ana.

"Upon arrival at Topčider Cemetery, an honor guard will accompany General Mladić's remains to the gravesite, followed by a ceremonial gun salute and farewell speeches," Andrić stated.

Andrić pointed out that the arrival of people from Republika Srpska and Serbia would also be coordinated and organized.

Serbian tricolor flags were put up this morning on the approaches to St Luke's Church.

A memorial service for General Mladić was held yesterday at the House of the Serbian Army in Belgrade, attended by his family, former comrades-in-arms, friends and officials from Republika Srpska and Serbia.

General Ratko Mladić died in The Hague on August 27.
