GLAMOČ, SEPTEMBER 19 /SRNA/ – Traffic signs with place names in Cyrillic have been repainted again, prompting a reaction from the Livno Canton Minister of Justice and Administration Aleksandar Rodić, who stated that such vandalistic behaviour is unacceptable.

"This kind of behaviour should have no place in our society. I call on the relevant institutions to identify the perpetrators as soon as possible and take appropriate measures," Rodić said.

Condemning the frequent vandalism of Cyrillic inscriptions, Rodić stated that the equal use of letters and languages is a guarantee of mutual respect and coexistence in multiethnic communities, emphasizing that institutions must react more decisively to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

"The situation is no better in Kupres. Those who have a problem with Cyrillic also have a problem with Serbs in these areas. National intolerance has historically never brought us anything good," Rodić said.

Glamoč residents report that the defacing and destruction of signs with Cyrillic inscriptions happens repeatedly, even after the existing traffic signs are cleaned.
