BANJA LUKA, FEBRUARY 11 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Justice of Republika Srpska Goran Selak stated today that the protection of Serb property in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ is a matter of national importance, and that the Republika Srpska institutions stand with their people and the Serbian Orthodox Church /SOC/.
"Institutions of Republika Srpska have an obligation to legally, institutionally, and politically protect Serb property, wherever it may be threatened," said Selak, who met in Banja Luka with the head priest of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in Mostar Duško Kojić and the parish priest in Blagaj Aleksandar Grčić.
The meeting also addressed the protection of property rights of the SOC and the Serb people in the Federation of BiH, as well as the importance of coordinating activities between the institutions of Republika Srpska, civic associations from the Federation of BiH dealing with this issue, and the Serb population in the Federation of BiH, the Ministry of Justice of Republika Srpska said.
It was concluded that the preservation of property means the preservation of identity, history, and the survival of the Serb people, and in this regard, there can be no compromise.
