BOSANSKI PETROVAC, MAY 20 /SRNA/ - The head of the SDA Caucus in the Municipal Council of Bosanski Petrovac Edin Didović caused an incident at today’s emergency council session by calling for violence, after expressing dissatisfaction with the appointment of commissioners for local communities.
Didović’s strong reaction came after the council majority turned down the SDA’s nominee for commissioner in Rašinovac and instead appointed another candidate for the position.
From the council podium, Didović called on citizens to "go out and smash everything."
His aggressive behavior was also recorded on video that appeared in public, where he can be heard calling for destructive actions.
Councilors from the ruling majority condemned Didović’s statement, saying that all decisions were made in accordance with prescribed procedures and by majority vote.
In the local community of Smoljana, the former president was reappointed as commissioner, while in Rašinovac, a candidate was appointed who was not nominated by the SDA, after which Didović caused the incident.
