BANJA LUKA, JUNE 25 /SRNA/ - Mile Marčeta, president of the Sustainable Return Association of Expelled Citizens of Drvar, said that Serb returnees in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ are being subjected to fascism, and that their lives are almost impossible due to the non-implementation of the Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement.
"The Constitution and the Dayton Peace Agreement are not being implemented by those who are obliged to do so and to protect Serb returnees. In the western Krajina municipalities of the FBiH where Serbs live, there is no reconstruction of roads or destroyed homes," Marčeta said.
He urged the competent authorities in BiH to find a solution for the survival of Serbs in Drvar, Grahovo, Bosanski Petrovac, and Glamoč, where they face difficult living conditions, stressing that this is also essential for the survival of BiH itself.
"Drvar is the only municipality that, according to the Dayton Peace Agreement, is divided between two entities and two cantons. This division was carried out to take natural resources, primarily forests, from this Serb local community," Marčeta said at a press conference in Banja Luka.
He said that it is sad that Drvar, which was once a hero city, is now in a catastrophic situation because its pre-war industry has been destroyed.
