KOJIĆ: CRIME AGAINST JNA SOLDIERS ILLUSTRATES THE NATURE OF WAR - SERBS KILLED, EXPELLED AND TRICKED FOR AGREEMENT

SREBRENICA, MAY 15 /SRNA/ - The crime against the soldiers of the Yugoslav People's Army /JNA/ in Tuzla 33 years ago most vividly illustrates the nature of the war, in which Serbs were killed, expelled, and tricked for an agreements with Muslims, stated Branimir Kojić, the head of the Srebrenica Municipal Organisation of Families of Captured, Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians.

He has emphasized that today in 1992, members of the Green Berets and other Muslim military formations committed a heinous crime against JNA soldiers in Tuzla, even more insidious and monstrous than the Dobrovoljačka Street attack in Sarajevo, which occurred ten days earlier.

On the occasion of marking 33 years since the crimes committed by Muslim forces against JNA members and the exodus of the Serb people from Tuzla, Kojić noted that at that time it was clear to everyone that the breakup of Yugoslavia was inevitable and that Muslims would do everything to establish a state in line with the Islamic Declaration.

Kojić emphasized that this crime proved only the Serbs had naively believed in a possible agreement with the Muslims.

"Unfortunately, this is still the case today, as there are individuals who believe that political leaders from the Federation of BiH truly want coexistence.

I assert that they would do exactly the same as they did 33 years ago when they did not keep their word and the agreement, which resulted in the killing of 54 JNA members, wounding 78 and capturing 44, five of whom later died in the worst torment," Kojić told SRNA.

He added that the Serbs in Tuzla were played out over the agreement that JNA soldiers would leave the barracks safely, but instead, they were led into a trap, exposed to gunfire by monsters, and killed like clay pigeons.
