ELEVEN MONUMENTS DESTROYED AND CHAPEL DAMAGED IN TRNOVAC NEAR TRAVNIK

SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 21 /SRNA/ - Eleven monuments have been destroyed at a Serb cemetery in the village of Trnovac near Travnik and a chapel has been damaged, the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the FBiH said, calling for those responsible to be arrested.

The Committee said it was demanding that the Ministry of Interior of the Central Bosnia Canton immediately arrest the perpetrators.

It noted that the Ministry of Interior has still not determined who fired shots at a cross in the village of Zaselje near Travnik in May this year.

According to the 1991 census, 92 Serbs lived in the village of Trnovac, with no members of other ethnic groups.

During the war, the area was controlled by the Seventh Corps of the so-called Army of BiH. Muslim forces killed five Serb civilians in the area of this and surrounding villages.
