PALE, OCTOBER 5 /SRNA/ - Radomir Lukić, a professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Istočno Sarajevo, told SRNA that the elections in BiH showed that the international community had failed to break up the SNSD and that it was clear that the people wanted the policy of preserving Republika Srpska that the political party has pursued to date.
Lukić stressed that the international community stood no chance against the people who believe in the policies of the SNSD and its leader, Milorad Dodik.
He said that it was a great source of satisfaction for Republika Srpska that the international community's attempt to override the will of the Serb people had failed.
"The results are, in a way, both expected and unexpected. Unexpected because the international community made a major effort to eliminate and undermine the SNSD, just as it once did with the SDS, using the same recipe," Lukić said.
Lukić noted that the SNSD had pursued a policy over the years that served the interests of Republika Srpska and its survival.
"Other parties did not achieve the expected results, nor did their individual candidates, which shows that the people of Republika Srpska want the SNSD's policies," Lukić concluded.
