FILIPOVIĆ: ADVANCING CROAT INTERESTS ALSO MEANS ADVANCING BiH

SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ - HDZ BiH candidate for Croat member of the BiH Presidency Darijana Filipović dedicated her election victory to the party and said that progress for the Croat people also meant progress for BiH.

Filipović said that work in the period ahead should set an example of a different kind of political engagement, based on mutual respect and decisions that reflect a desire to move BiH forward.

"Our decisions should be such that we respect one another and that they reflect the step forward we want to take for BiH," Filipović said in an address following the release of the first preliminary results of the general elections.

She expressed particular gratitude to the HDZ BiH leadership, highlighting the party's readiness for change and its courage to embark on a path that others might not dare to take, federal media reported.

According to preliminary results so far, Filipović is leading the race for Croat member of the BiH Presidency, while the final results will be known after vote processing is completed and the election results are officially confirmed.
