ELECTION DAY PASSES PEACEFULLY, WITHOUT SERIOUS INCIDENTS

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ - Election day in Republika Srpska passed peacefully and without major incidents, with four incidents reported to the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs /MoI/ headquarters for Elections 2026.


In Čelebići, in the Foča area, a person identified by the initials M.R. was issued a misdemeanor citation for violating the Law on Public Order and Peace, the Republika Srpska MoI said this evening.

A request will be filed to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against a person identified by the initials D.V. over a violation of the Law on Public Order and Peace at a polling station in Derventa.

Police officers also acted on a report by E.H., who said that a person identified by the initials A.K. had insulted his wife at the Divič polling station in the Zvornik area.

A.K. was issued a misdemeanor citation for an offence under the Law on Public Order and Peace.

In Donji Ribnik, a police officer prevented a breach of public order and peace after J.T. and I.T. verbally attacked Ž.T.

J.T. and I.T. were sanctioned for misdemeanors in accordance with the Law on Public Order and Peace.
