ČELINAC, NOVEMBER 12 /SRNA/ – SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik has called on Čelinac residents this evening to support the SNSD candidate Siniša Karan in the upcoming early presidential elections, saying that Karan is fighting for Republika Srpska and guarantees peace for it.

Dodik stated that Siniša Karan's convincing victory would demonstrate the strength of the people.

At the main rally in Čelinac, Dodik emphasized that the SNSD and its coalition partners are continuing their political struggle for Republika Srpska and that foreign interventionism must be eliminated.

Karan said that the "occupier" Christian Schmidt had dared to take away from the Serb people their greatest value in modern democracy – the sovereign right to elect their own representatives.

He stressed that the people of Republika Srpska would not allow anyone else to elect their representatives, as demonstrated by the gathering in Čelinac tonight and as will be shown throughout Srpska on November 23.

"These are not elections but a referendum in which the people will overthrow the occupier Schmidt and confirm their sovereign right to elect their representatives," Karan underlined.

SNSD Deputy Leader Željka Cvijanović said that the upcoming elections were forced, but that the SNSD and its coalition partners would demonstrate their strength and the will of the people by ensuring that Siniša Karan is elected.

"We are confident that even in such elections, where someone else is setting the rules, the SNSD must show its strength together with its coalition partners," Cvijanović said.

She added that the strength of the SNSD and its coalition partners is the strength of Republika Srpska.

The chair of the SNSD Municipal Committee in Čelinac Vlado Gligorić emphasized that Čelinac is sending a message of support to the candidate Siniša Karan defending the presidential term won in 2022, and choosing the coalition's candidate, not Schmidt's.

The leader of United Srpska Nenad Stevandić said that the ruling coalition would not allow anyone’s experiments to dig trenches across Republika Srpska, where wars could be fought to the joy of the enemies of the Srpska people.

"Srpska will remain united, and they can dig trenches in Sarajevo," Stevandić said.

The rally was also attended by the leader of the Socialist Party of Srpska Goran Selak and the People's Party of Srpska, Darko Banjac.
