BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – President of SNSD Milorad Dodik said that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH has awakened Serbian defiance and that, in the repeated elections for President of Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations, the margin in favor of the party’s candidate Siniša Karan will exceed 15,000 votes.
"For them, everything in Republika Srpska is disputed. In a way, I am even glad this happened. It will lead to an improvement in the situation. More than 45,000 citizens did not turn out in these elections. Now it has been made possible for Karan to have a 15,000-vote margin," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka.
He said that the CEC has another objective and that this is a conspiracy, recalling the wishes of Alija Izetbegović, which are now being carried out, given that it is enough for Muslims to have five representatives in the House of Representatives to control the situation.
"This is what Alija Izetbegović demanded. The betrayal now in sight is the collusion of those who created the uproar and struck a deal with /Christian/ Schmidt. To create, through Sarajevo-based media, along with BN TV and Srpska Info, an atmosphere of lynching," Dodik said.
He stressed that the CEC decided to annul the decisions of voters and polling boards, recalling that objections could have been filed before the CEC proclaimed the results.
"After that, you have the right to appeal. The SDS dealt with that, and both the Court and the CEC said there were no grounds. This was announced a few days ago," Dodik noted.
He emphasized that a meeting was recently held at Schmidt's office, attended by certain members of the CEC.
"It is called the Central Election Commission because it implies the centralization of BiH. Wasn’t it enough to call it the Election Commission of BiH? The word central is used to suggest some kind of central authority. Vanja Bjelica-Prutina did everything to call into question the legitimacy of the elections and to favor the Bosniak political elite," Dodik said.
