DEĐANSKI: BiH CEC WANTING TO ALTER SRPSKA PEOPLE'S ELECTORAL WILL IS CLEAR TO EVERYONE

BELGRADE, DECEMBER 25 /SRNA/ – Political analyst Stevica Deđanski assessed that it is clear to everyone that the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH wants to alter the electoral will of Republika Srpska citizens expressed in the recent snap presidential elections.

Deđanski says it is difficult to comment on BiH CEC decision to annul the elections at 136 polling stations in 17 constituencies as it turns out that Serbs are being blamed for not respecting European values.

"And what those values are was seen in Moldova, when elections were rigged in five minutes with 500,000 ballots submitted by mail, or when elections were annulled in Romania where a man /Călin Georgescu/ won, and then he was later banned from running the elections," Deđanski told SRNA.

He added that these are today's European, Brussels values, which Serbs do not fit into.

"People here think that voting is done by free will and that democracy prevails. But you can see that they are ready for anything. If they were ready to do that there, why wouldn't they be ready to do it here as well?" Deđanski asked.

He believes that, despite everything, appeals should be filed so that it does not appear as if there were none, and that the public should constantly be informed about what is happening, because a large part of the world still wants to hear about it.

"We must not allow ourselves to be provoked and for things to be turned around so that it looks like we are to blame for something. The Serb people and their interests must be protected. It is not easy, but that is the only thing we can do," Deđanski said.

The CEC of BiH made a non-final decision yesterday to annul the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska at 136 polling stations in 17 constitutencies.

The snap elections were annulled at certain polling stations in Prijedor, Laktaši, Banja Luka, Doboj, Stanari, Lopare, Ugljevik, Osmaci, Vlasenica, Zvornik, Bratunac, Nevesinje, Gacko, Rudo, Bileća, Milići, and Brčko.
