CVIJANOVIĆ THANKS VOTERS FOR THEIR TRUST, PLEDGES TO DEFEND REPUBLIKA SRPSKA’S INTERESTS

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA/ - SNSD candidate for Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović said this evening that she would never betray the interests of Republika Srpska and that the needs of every citizen would always remain a priority for her.

She thanked citizens for their patience during today's election process and voters for the trust they had placed in her.

"I am grateful that, after four years in this position, I have once again been given their trust. I can promise that I will never betray the interests of Republika Srpska and that I will always keep in mind the needs of every one of our people," Cvijanović told reporters at the party's election headquarters in Banja Luka.

Cvijanović said this was a major victory for SNSD's policies under the leadership of Milorad Dodik.

"Congratulations to all our candidates who were elected and to everyone who took part in the election process. Our policy is a strong and stable Republika Srpska, defended everywhere, whether in Sarajevo or internationally, but also defended at home, as we have shown by strengthening each of our local communities," Cvijanović said.

She added that SNSD would continue working to strengthen Republika Srpska's position internationally and that this would remain one of its priority tasks.

"President Dodik, Savo Minić and I went through this as a team of three, and that is how we will continue to work in the period ahead. This victory is the culmination of our work and proof that SNSD is a force of Republika Srpska," Cvijanović said.
