BANJA LUKA, JUNE 1 /SRNA/ – The film "Smile for the End" /Osmijeh za kraj/, directed by Duško Stanivuk, whose filming has begun in the Gradiška area, promotes the potential of Republika Srpska as a film destination, and the Audio Visual Centre of Republika Srpska is pleased to support it, the institution's director Anja Ilić told SRNA.
Ilić noted that "Smile for the End" received support through a public call for the production of short feature films, adding that during her visit to the film set she became convinced that the project is backed by an exceptionally dedicated and professional creative, production, and acting team.
"It is especially encouraging that the film brings an interesting and emotional story, with a very demanding concept in which almost the entire plot takes place inside a car, representing a special challenge for everyone involved in the project," Ilić said.
She added that the lead roles are played by outstanding actors Nataša Perić and Bojan Kolopić, expressing confidence that their talent will further contribute to the quality of the production.
"At the same time, the filming showcases authentic and attractive locations in the Gradiška area, thereby promoting Republika Srpska's potential as a film destination," Ilić emphasized.
Ilić believes that "Smile for the End" will also enjoy a successful festival run and find its way to audiences, for whom domestic cinema is becoming increasingly important and accessible.
Produced by Kozara Film, the short feature tells the story of Nina and Kiki, who are on a journey that is supposed to offer them a new chance. As the border draws closer, the past relentlessly catches up with them, testing both their courage and their mutual trust.
