FILM "WHEN I DIE AGAIN" WRAPPING UP PRODUCTION

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 25 /SRNA/ - Filming of the feature-length fiction film "When I Die Again" by director Nemanja Savanović has been completed in Slatina near Banja Luka.

The project was supported with BAM 400,000 by the Audio-Visual Centre of Republika Srpska.

Set in Banja Luka, the film presents characters and situations in which every viewer from the region can recognize themselves, the Audio-Visual Centre said in a statement.

Film producer Željko Erkić emphasized that a strong, engaged screenplay was the key motivation for embarking on the project, as well as a story that drew him in as a reader.

"I believed we could make this film within a circle of dedicated people who would carry it from the first to the last clap. It is our story, set in our city, and we wanted to show ourselves and the region that we can work together. The experience has been exceptional and invaluable for future projects and for life in general," Erkić said.

Director Savanović noted that the story emerged from a personal need to record people and destinies that everyone recognizes.

"At the beginning, I wasn't even thinking about filming. I wanted to assemble a story that had been on my mind and be ready for the moment when the opportunity appeared. The characters in this film are neither good nor bad - they are ours," he said.

Savanović added that he is proud of the entire team for completing something that, on paper, seemed "almost insane."

Filmed over the course of a month, the film follows Milan, a taxi driver who, trying to get out of debt, is drawn into a dangerous job that confronts him with his own moral dilemmas and past. His journey becomes a story of escape, guilt, and an attempt at redemption in a world where the boundaries between good and evil have long been erased.

The film's creative team includes writer-director Nemanja Savanović, cinematographers Saša Petković and Dragan Radetić, production designer Slobodanka Pilić, and costume designer Margareta Šobot.

The main roles are played by Mladen Sovilj, Dejan Aćimović, Mirko Vlahović, Miljka Brđanin, and Nikola Pejaković, alongside a large number of other actors from the region.

The film is produced by Pasel Film from Banja Luka, led by producer Željko Erkić, in co-production with Sinamon Films from Serbia and co-producer Nevena Savić.
