ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 12 /SRNA/ – The International Documentary Film Festival "RT.Doc: The Time of Our Heroes" will be held from November 19 to 23 in Istočno Sarajevo and Drvengrad, featuring the premieres of two films: "The Italian Resistance Movement. Part Two. The Breakthrough" and "Serbs and Russians. Blood and Faith," the Russia Today television network announced.

During the festival, audiences will be presented with films by Russian authors dedicated to the heroes of our time – participants in military operations, civilians, doctors, and volunteers.

"Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the directors and the heroes featured in the films, and several panel discussions devoted to modern documentary cinema and historical memory are also planned," the statement said.

The International Documentary Film Festival will open on November 19 at the National Theatre in Istočno Sarajevo, while screenings will continue on November 22 and 23 in Drvengrad, the picturesque village of Emir Kusturica on Mokra Gora.

As part of the festival program, the film on anti-fascism in Italy titled "The Italian Resistance Movement. Part Two. The Breakthrough" will have its premiere, along with the film "Serbs and Russians. Blood and Faith," which explores parallels between the histories of Serbia and Donbas.

Republika Srpska News Agency - SRNA is the media partner of the International Documentary Film Festival.

The festival was first held in Serbia in 2024 on the initiative of Emir Kusturica.

That year, it received positive feedback and strong audience attendance, leading to the decision to make it an annual event.

"Public interest is high, and local associations are actively supporting the organization of the Festival. We believe this event will become an important link in strengthening Russian-Serbian ties," Russia Today emphasized.
