WESTERN PUSH ON "STATE PROPERTY" AIMS TO PROVOKE NEW CRISIS

BELGRADE, DECEMBER 4 /SRNA/ – Political analyst Stevica Deđanski assessed that Christian Schmidt and the West are once again raising the issue of so-called state property in order to provoke a new crisis in BiH, which he believes will be their final attempt.

"I think their goal is to launch this because the last crisis they tried to create didn’t work. Presidential elections were held in Republika Srpska, and the winner was /Siniša Karan/, the candidate of SNSD, the party led by /Milorad/ Dodik", Deđanski stated for SRNA.

He believes that any new crisis Schmidt and his team hope to provoke, if it happens at all, will be their last move.

"This is clear after the recent warming of relations with the United States. Schmidt will then formally become what he has essentially been all along, an irrelevant figure, and they will send him back to Germany, where he can do whatever he wants. Let him go to ‘Oktoberfest’", Deđanski said.

He pointed out that ever since Schmidt arrived in BiH, he has been trying to undermine Republika Srpska, seize its property, and trigger various crises.

Deđanski stressed that Schmidt is doing all this under the guise of supposedly protecting the Dayton Agreement, while in reality he is undermining Dayton — the only true guarantor of which is Republika Srpska, the only party actually defending it.

"I think everyone sees that now. The good thing for Republika Srpska is that it can talk with countries that influence decision-making and want peace, namely the USA and Russia", Deđanski assessed.

In his view, Republika Srpska should also seek new bilateral partners who understand what is really happening in BiH.

"We have Hungary, but we should look for others as well, because resistance to the global madness dominating the world is growing", Deđanski stressed.

However, he believes that, for now, contacts with Russia and the US are sufficient.

"I think this will yield results and push Schmidt out, and that they will ultimately stop him from taking further actions that could cause unrest, because nobody needs that", Deđanski said.

After a two-day session of the Peace Implementation Council /PIC/ in Sarajevo yesterday, Schmidt said that the issue of "state property" was hindering development in BiH and blocking investments.
