DANGEROUS INTENTIONS BEHIND KONAKOVIĆ'S POLITICAL ACTIONS

SARAJEVO, AUGUST 13 /SRNA/ – Sanja Vulić, head of the SNSD club in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, told SRNA that the criminal complaint filed by Srebrenica Memorial Centre Director Emir Suljagić against BiH Minister of Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić appears to reflect fear of what could be uncovered at the Memorial Centre.

Vulić stressed that history cannot be created through criminal complaints, nor can facts be determined according to personal political interests.

"Time will show what was real and what was an attempt to reshape reality," Vulić added.

She said that Amidžić had done nothing contrary to the law, while Suljagić was attempting through his actions to operate outside the legal framework.

"Apparently, money is never enough for Suljagić, just as it apparently was never enough for /Christian/ Schmidt. That, it seems, is what connects them - the need to secure as much as possible for themselves. I also wonder how Suljagić intends to create history when we do not yet even know the exact truth. By his criteria, history is whatever he says it is," Vulić said.

She added that time would also show that Serbs are a sincere and honorable people.

"That is the only truth and history, Suljagić," Vulić said.

Suljagić filed a criminal complaint with the Prosecutor's Office of BiH against Amidžić over what he described as "suspicion that he failed to implement decisions of the High Representative concerning the Memorial Centre."

The Bijeljina District Public Prosecutor's Office previously opened a case concerning the operations of the Srebrenica Memorial Centre public institution in 2022 following a report alleging tax and contribution evasion.
