SARAJEVO, JULY 29 /SRNA/ - The Head of the SNSD Caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Sanja Vulić, said that the State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/ is functioning well and that this agency cannot operate according to the will or instructions of Jasmin Emrić, a member of the House of Representatives.

"Agencies and institutions are not here to please anyone, fulfill the wishes of any of us, of any individual, but to operate strictly in accordance with the law. Emrić wants things done to suit his whims, for SIPA to act on his orders, arresting whoever he wants and when he wants. Well, that's not going to happen," Vulić said.

Vulić told reporters that the only thing clearly visible in the recent period was attacks on Serb personnel, as part of an attempt to centralize power.

"Out of six assistants in SIPA, four are Bosniaks. All those individuals Emrić mentioned as potentially authorized to replace the director also come from the ranks of the Bosniak people. So, there's no need to comment any further," Vulić said.

She added that SIPA is functioning well and that the appointment of the Deputy Director of SIPA will soon be on the agenda of the Council of Ministers.

Reflecting on the work of the House of Representatives in the previous period, Vulić said that the only thing that must be respected is the will of all citizens of BiH, and that those who win elections should participate in government.

"We had the opportunity to see that this imposed `Troika,` Schmidt's `Troika,` is absolutely incapable of accomplishing anything. They didn't justify the trust placed in them by the citizens, let alone adopt systemic and important laws," Vulić said, adding that the only ministers who proposed European legislation were from HDZ and SNSD, while the `Troika` did not propose a single one.

She stated that the 'Troika' relied on the SDA and its long-standing presence on the political scene, and that all of their policies would have collapsed without the support from the SDA.

"They said, `We erased the SNSD, crossed it out with an eraser.` As you can see, they didn't and they won't. Time will show that the SNSD is a party that endures and will continue to exist because we are persistent in our policies and responsibility toward the citizens who elect us," Vulić said.
