SARAJEVO, AUGUST 7 /SRNA/ – Sanja Vulić, head of the SNSD caucus in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, told SRNA that the three MPs sent a personal letter to Acting High Representative Louis Crishock , rather than expressing the position of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly on the status of the Potočari Memorial Centre.
Vulić said that sending the letter on the letterhead of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH is misleading and contains elements of impersonation.
"This is by no means the position of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH or either of its houses. It is exclusively a political initiative by three MPs that has neither been considered nor adopted by the competent institutions," Vulić stressed.
She emphasized that it is unacceptable to create the impression that the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH stands behind the request and that this constitutes an abuse of the institution and an attempt to mislead the public.
"The Parliamentary Assembly expresses its positions exclusively through decisions adopted in accordance with the prescribed procedure, not through self-initiated letters by individuals, regardless of their political motives or objectives," Vulić said.
MPs Denis Zvizdić, Saša Magazinović and Predrag Kojović addressed Crishock requesting the establishment of a special legal and administrative status for the Potočari Memorial Centre.
