BANJA LUKA, MAY 14 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Minister for Spatial Planning, Construction and Ecology Bojan Vipotnik told SRNA that the BiH delegation today, before the Espoo Convention Secretariat in Geneva, proved all violations committed by Croatia throughout the entire process related to Trgovska Gora.
"We had a good and well-argued presentation in the sense that the disposal of nuclear waste at Trgovska Gora, on the border between Croatia and BiH, must by no means be allowed", he said.
Vipotnik added that the Croatian delegation came to the meeting unprepared, which, he said, works in favor of the interests of Republika Srpska and BiH.
Croatia plans to store radioactive waste from the Krško Nuclear Power Plant, as well as existing institutional waste, at the Trgovska Gora site in the municipality of Dvor, on the very border with BiH.
The delegations of BiH and Croatia presented their positions today before the Espoo Convention Committee in Geneva regarding the construction of a nuclear waste disposal site at Trgovska Gora.
