BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 1 /SRNA/ - Head of the SNSD Caucus in the Republika Srpska National Assembly Srđan Mazalica stated that the verdict handed down by the BiH Court against Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik is full of procedural errors and legal violations, and that “the matter should be taken all the way to Strasbourg.”

"Without going into the legitimacy of Schmidt or his right to enact laws, the verdict against Dodik is riddled with procedural errors and violations of the Criminal Procedure Law," Mazalica said.

He said that "the Sarajevo deep state has nonetheless decided to further deepen the crisis."

"This matter should be taken all the way to Strasbourg. A growing number of Europeans believe this trial is a disgrace to the judiciary," Mazalica wrote on X.

The Appeals Chamber of the BiH Court has upheld the first-instance verdict against the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, Dodik’s lawyer Goran Bubić told SRNA.

Dodik was initially sentenced to one year in prison and a six-year ban on political activity for failing to comply with the decisions of Christian Schmidt.
