THE U.S. DEPORTS SOLEIMANI’S RELATIVES - WILL SARAJEVO REMOVE HIS PHOTOS FROM SCHOOL?

WASHINGTON, APRIL 5 /SRNA/ - U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that the administration will not allow the United States to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes.

“Until recently, Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter were green card holders and lived lavishly in the United States. Afshar is the niece of the late Iranian Major General Qassem Soleimani. She is also an outspoken supporter of the Iranian regime. She celebrated attacks on Americans and referred to our country as the ‘Great Satan,’” Rubio wrote on X.

Rubio recalled that this week, he revoked the legal status of both Afshar and her daughter, and they are now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement /ICE/ awaiting deportation from the United States.

Soleimani was killed in 2020 in Baghdad in a drone strike, which the U.S. military says was ordered by then-President Donald Trump during his first term.

As the United States deports relatives of Qassem Soleimani, the question arises whether Sarajevo will remove his photos from a school.

A photograph of the Iranian general was displayed on the wall of the Persian-Bosnian College near Sarajevo, media reported after a video was published on the school’s official Facebook profile.

The institution is a secondary school whose building and surrounding land are owned by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The formal owner of the school is Iranian citizen Zarean Mohamed Jafer.

The school has not responded to inquiries regarding the reasons for displaying the photograph, nor has it clarified what educational purpose it serves within the school premises.
