BANJA LUKA, JULY 7 /SRNA/ - The Director of the Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ of BiH Zoran Tegeltija said today that two border crossings will be operational at Rača on the border with Serbia as of October 15.
"They will be Rača One and Rača Two. This will significantly ease congestion at this border crossing," Tegeltija said.
He said that the old bridge in Gradiška would soon be renovated, adding that he expected the Rulebook on the Internal Organisation of the ITA to be adopted soon.
"This would enable both border crossings in Gradiška to operate," Tegeltija said.
Regarding the long queues at border crossings with the EU, Tegeltija said that everything Europe was doing was harming the business community and citizens, something everyone was aware of.
"The systems they have been creating and building for 10 years have now caused chaos at the EU borders. The solutions developed by the EU are creating major financial costs for both the business community and citizens. We hope they will finally understand this and create conditions that will ensure the smooth flow of traffic across the borders," Tegeltija said.
Tegeltija said that the Border Police and the Indirect Taxation Authority of BiH were doing everything they could to speed up the flow of traffic, but that there was little they could do when Croatia, on the other side of the border, was enforcing EU rules.
