TADIĆ: MEDIA DEFENSE OF BEĆIROVIĆ IS, IN FACT, PROOF OF HIS GUILT

BANJA LUKA, JULY 20 /SRNA/ - In an attempt to conceal or justify the deception by BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović regarding the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, part of the media in the Federation of BiH /FBiH/ has only confirmed his culpability, lawyer Ognjen Tadić said.

.h"In trying to conceal or justify the deception that BiH Presidency member Denis Bećirović placed before the Presidency when it was deciding on the appointment of members of the Commission to Preserve National Monuments, part of the media in the FBiH is attempting to claim that someone at UNESCO was aware that, instead of a proposal from the Director-General, the proposal for the foreign members had been submitted by Slaviša Šešum, head of UNESCO's office in Sarajevo," Tadić told SRNA.

Rather than succeeding in justifying Denis Bećirović's unlawful act and deception, Tadić said that those defending him and trying to smooth over the situation have only once again demonstrated that he committed a serious violation by misleading the public in BiH and, above all, by attempting to deceive the other members of the Presidency.

Tadić specified that, under Article 5, Paragraph 2 of the Decision on the Commission, the two foreign members may be nominated exclusively by the Director-General of UNESCO.

"This once again proves that the Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović was completely right when she said that the BiH Presidency had never received an official nomination of foreign members from the UNESCO Director-General, which would have been required under the applicable regulations," Tadić concluded.
