ŠULIĆ: KRNJIĆ DESERVES BOTH DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL SANCTIONS

BANJA LUKA, DECEMBER 10 /SRNA/ - The Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, Denis Šulić, said that a member of the Management Board of the Indirect Taxation Authority /ITA/ of BiH, Zijad Krnjić, is deliberately blocking the opening of the new Gradiška border crossing and deserves to face sanctions from both domestic and international institutions.

Šulić emphasized that this crossing is of great importance for both citizens and the economy.

“Krnjić is not obstructing the development of Republika Srpska alone, although I believe that is his goal, but the entire BiH. The whole country has become a hostage to his arbitrariness,” Šulić said in a written statement to SRNA.

He added that this is just another in a series of absurdities in BiH that continually surpass all previous ones.

The Management Board of the ITA of BiH did not adopt the amendments to the Rulebook on Internal Organization of the ITA at today’s second extraordinary session, which would have enabled the new Gradiška border crossing to begin operations.

Krnjić voted against this Rulebook for the fourth time.
