SLAVKO SIMIĆ, WHO WENT MISSING DURING THE WAR IN THE GRADAČAC AREA, IDENTIFIED

SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 4 /SRNA/ - Slavko /Dušan/ Simić, who went missing on December 7, 1992, in the village of Novalići in the municipality of Gradačac, has been officially identified at the premises of the Commemorative Centre in Tuzla.


His remains were exhumed in July last year at the Donje Krečane site, which is also located in the municipality of Gradačac, the BiH Missing Persons Institute said.

The identity of the victim of the recent war, believed to have been of Serb ethnicity, was first established through DNA analysis, after which family members attended the official identification, the Institute said.

After officially confirming the identity, the family members will take over the remains for the victim's dignified burial.

Slavko Simić was born in 1961 in the Prijedor area.
