PALE, JUNE 11 /SRNA/ - Bringing the German citizen Christian Schmidt into any context with BiH’s European path is an insult to both BiH and its peoples, because this person has destroyed all the principles on which free and democratic societies are based, member of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Damjan Škipina, told SRNA.
"To talk about the freedom to pursue the policies chosen by the people, the freedom to elect our representatives, and to respect the laws of the country passed by its institutions, while on the other hand all of that is trampled by a scribble that Schmidt imposed as law, is utterly absurd and hypocritical," Škipina said.
Commenting on Schmidt's meeting with the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, in Brussels, Škipina called it ridiculous and asked what a German citizen has to do with BiH’s European path.
"Even if he were the high representative, which he is not, there can be no European path for BiH as long as it is under the rule of a colonizer and dictator in the person of Schmidt. Moreover, European officials can speak about BiH’s European path only with the country’s legitimate political representatives, not with the fake /high representative/ Schmidt. He represents no one in BiH except himself, yet receives huge financial resources and enjoys various privileges,” Škipina emphasized.
He stated that the only thing Schmidt has done in BiH is to cause political and constitutional chaos and damage relations like no one else since 1995.
“Schmidt has led BiH into its greatest constitutional and political crisis, attacked its institutions, assumed the role of the legislative authority, and this man still has the audacity to speak on behalf of BiH in Brussels,” Škipina said.
He pointed out that Europe can be a factor of stability by being objective and consistent in its views and comments, and by demanding that the Bosniaks fulfill their obligations, stop blocking, and accept dialogue, because BiH is not their personal property, and everyone else should not suffer due to their centralist, i.e. unitarist, policies.
“When all these things are put in order, and it’s needed not tomorrow, but yesterday, then the Office of the High Representative /OHR/ should be closed, not prolong the agony in BiH. November will mark 30 years since the Dayton Agreement was signed, yet the Muslims are still dreaming of a unitary Bosnia, sowing hatred, provoking, lying, slandering... And what do we have in the end? Republika Srpska is developing, functioning, and building, while in Sarajevo, unfortunately, the mice are running the show, in the truest sense of the word,” Škipina emphasized.
He stated that all of this is incompatible with the European path, just as it is incompatible for a colonizer and dictator to speak on behalf of BiH in Brussels.
“Let’s turn to ourselves; we have representatives elected by the people, election winners, and let’s build our path without the Germans, the Brits, and others who want to drag BiH, already on its knees for decades, down to the very bottom. Republika Srpska won’t and can’t be brought down. The future of BiH is already in question,” Škipina said.
