ŠKIPINA: BOSNIAKS NEED DIALOGUE THE MOST CONSIDERING ALL ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES THEY ENGAGED IN

PALE, APRIL 8 /SRNA/ - Damjan Škipina, an SNSD member of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, said that no one from Republika Srpska will be part of the unconstitutional institution called the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council /HJPC/ because it does not exist in Republika Srpska, as it is not included in the Constitution or the Dayton Agreement.

Commenting on the initiation of the process to appoint a new member of the so-called HJPC of BiH from Republika Srpska, following the resignation of Ljiljana Bošnjak Glizijan, a judge of the Supreme Court of Republika Srpska, Škipina told SRNA that the HJPC is not stipulated by the Constitution of BiH and does not exist for Republika Srpska. He also noted that the Republika Srpska National Assembly adopted the Law on the HJPC of Republika Srpska on February 27.

He explained that this law regulates the establishment, operation, organization, and jurisdiction of the body, as well as the powers, conditions, and terms for performing judicial and prosecutorial functions, including the appointment and transfer of judges and public prosecutors.

Škipina emphasized that the political representatives of the Bosniak people must initiate negotiations, which they need the most at this moment, considering all the illegal activities they have engaged in.

“They must finally understand that BiH will, sooner or later, have to return to the Dayton and legal framework. The time for smearing Republika Srpska and spreading falsehoods about its leadership and the entire Serbian people is over. BiH is composed of two equal entities and three constituent peoples, so no one has more or fewer rights in this country. BiH is not the property of the Bosniaks, but a state union of three peoples who have equal rights,” Škipina emphasized.

He added that recent times have shown that dialogue between the legally elected political representatives of the three peoples is the only forum where issues can be discussed and a resolution to the crisis in BiH caused by Christian Schmidt’s interventions can be found.
